Hello. I currently have Spatial Audio x5 open baffle speakers. Has anyone compared these to the FR10?
I may take advantage of the trade in special if there’s a significant difference

Spatial is an interesting design with much narrower horizontal directivity (do to the large 12’ midwoofer and horn loaded tweeter). The late reflections from the dipole behaviour can give additional spaciousness but I tend to find these kinds of designs to have kind of a “headphone” effect with less “roomy” sound.
Our narrow planar midrange will have much wider coverage (+/- 75 degrees) and lacks some of the coloration and cone breakup issues that larger cone mids have.
While a 12” powered sub is a nice feature, dipole requite 4X the displacement than a sealed box woofer (though interact with the room less). I would say that the spatial has adjustability in the bass balance but not necessarily more bass output (likely similar)
In addition to the trade-in policy, you can return the speaker within 30 days if you don’t want them for any reason. While I think they’re an upgrade, the speakers are so different that I think you’d need to try them to see if they are more to your taste.
