Thanks for the info. I had in my head you had a wireless setup so now it makes sense. If you ever do get wireless working again I would be interested if you thought the wired connection through the ether regen is better than a good wireless setup.
Well I didn’t really notice a difference in SQ between the wireless and wired, and it seems like the ER improves the wired, so…
Unless you had some galvanic iso issue with your wired setup, not sure that there’s an advantage to wireless other than convenience - assuming they both deliver the bits.
I have an Ether Regen on order and had reason to speak to Alex Crespi (head of Uptone Audio) yesterday. He said that I would be very surprised by the improved sound of the BridgeII with the input from EtherRegen. I was close to selling my Bridge but I’m going to try it with the ER. -That will be arriving in late Feb. -Interesting.

My conclusion was the same as Hans’. The Uptone etherREGEN sounds better than the really fantastic AQVOX SE Audiophile Switch. I have already sold my AQVOX. I also sold my GigaFOIL.

I got a completely new system today. All the same gear plus an EtherRegen. I am using a Ghent Xu y cable to power both my Euphony server and the EtherRegen with 12 volts from my Keces P8. Its a bit sharp right now, right on the knife edge of shrill. But oh my…

Just to jump in from nowhere, sidelines actually, I bit the bullet ( alot of research and reading from happy campers on this forum and others) and bought the EtherRegen, hesitant because of the exchange rate and duty and shipping, I felt it sucked because it almost doubled the price, but, what the hey, its the pursuit of that missing link in audio. anyway, I digress. the ER is an eye opener. I have the DS senior and went, way back, on Bootzillas recommendation,and everybody else who had bought one, of the Matrix, it was nice, but didn’t quite do it, so went back with straight USB from my Innuous into the DS, then went with the Gigafoil, that was a very nice addition, Now the ER, very very nice, but not quite there.Then I tried all the pieces together, Cat 6 from my service providers modem ,40 ft away, into the Gigafoil, into the EtherRegen, into the Innuous, and USB into the Matrix, and I2s into the DS. Everything has finally come together and amazed with the sound I am now producing. The smoothness and 3 dimensionality( is that word?) has increased 2 fold. I have one more addition to try, thank you Lonson for once upon a time, bringing Decware to my attention, The Decware Zrock2… I love this hobby.

Sorry to bring bad news…you can´t use your Keces to power both or you will lose ground isolation with ER. Use only dedicated lps or it´s own smps.

Just received the EtherRegen today. Wish I could find something I want to send back… wow
It is another piece of the puzzle that for the money hits way above its league.
I just bought one on the 13th with all of the upgrades, including the Jupiter bypass caps along with the Vcap in the signal path. I’s sure it is 8-12 weeks away from being shipped.

Very nice Jeff, I’m sitting here with a big grin on my face in anticipation ( or is it the few glasses wine I’ve had and really liking where my system is at in sound quality right now)of you getting it and saying you are blown away with the improvement, I’m still a ways away from ordering one yet, but am eagerly awaiting your report. ( which i hope you will do)

I’m sitting here listening to the Ken Peplowski Quartet, When you Wish Upon a Star, album on Tidal, and thinking, how much better can I get the DS senior to sound? We’ll see…Ergo, Decware zrock2, after everything else, I cant make it stop, i don’t want to. The wine maybe, not just yet though…
Some interesting tidbits in my thread asking a similar question.
I’m curious about the Gigfoil too but developing a slight preference for the EtherRegen based on comments here and elsewhere, plus having a switch is handy.
