yes i belive resolution from 720 is till are great for these old movies, some people may even prefer the dvds, for that dark or “mystery” look, i still dont get it so old cameras but even in 720 the picture looks so realistic more than many many modern movies i had seen;
you are great; you are like me for sure;
we look for the actors, the places etc of this old movies, people were so different before and make so great movies, and amazing the sound is so great with mono or 2 channels ;
“Interview with the Assassin”. This guy lived next door to his elderly neighbor who says he was the second gunman on the grassy knoll who actually killed JFK. Saw it a while ago and it always stuck out in my mind. It was pure fiction, but I’m sure it got conspirator’s wheels turning.
Akira Kurosawa’s Red Beard. His last B&W film and his last with Toshiro Mifune. The story parallels Dostoevsky’s Humiliated and Insulted. The film is grounded in Kurosawa’s exploration of individualism, humanity and existentialism in comparison to post WW II films oriented to a more structured and compliant society.
I begun yesterday to look the new The x-files season 11 series, the episode 1 is very good but is strange that just a year before the covid appereance in the world it have so many similiarities; any way very good series but like always with x-files some episodes are very good some others not so good;
