In the review he points to the Optical Isolator chips that connect the USB board to the unit so I would go with that
There are a lot of typos where Spring2 should read Spring3.

Yes I already noted optical isolator chip in my post because it is mentioned in his video.
He says all Spring3 feature this but his video is of KTE version.
I’m not sure if all 3 levels feature this same optical USB isolation - it’s not clear from the website.

Maybe it’s obvious but I don’t see what the letters “KTE” stand for and why it was chosen.
Kitsune Tuned Edition. My understanding was the only the Spring 3 KTE(level 3) has the USB features of the May.

Thats correct, only KTE edition of Spring 3 has the same titanis 2 usb module as May.

I ordered about six weeks ago so I’m expecting delivery soon.
Will my unit be shipped directly to me from China? Or does Kitsune get it first?
Should I expect a DHL tracking number?
When you placed the order, did they not say which carrier they would use for the shipment? If not, it may be worth inquiring. Once the label is printed before the couriers pick it up, they should email you the AWB or tracking number.
They did not say which carrier would ship it.
I assumed it would be DHL since they have been mentioned in this thread as the carrier.

As you lit the fire under me for the Holo May KTE Dac Tim @ Holo said they wanted a Pre to match the quality of the May KTE hence the Serene KTE was made.
I can’t wait to receive mine.

I really love my Bryston BDA-3 Dac but doesn’t support I2S. With a PST on the way I’ll have to look into the Holo or DSD dacs.
