Inquiring minds want to know how a ferret tells the researcher that they are experiencing tinnitus. Regardless, as someone living with both tinnitus and (self inflicted) disrupted sleep, I hope they are on to something.
Their image choice of sleep state absolutely cracked me up. Way too close too home.

Summarizing, the difficulty of expressing sound, much less music into words. Harry Pearson attempted it with mixed results using photography metaphors. The best I can say is one knows it when they hear it. The Estelon Extreme demo I heard at Audio Experience is a perfect example of a fine demo offering exceptional sound. Surprisingly at the same salon the MSB Cascade DAC demo was an example of a mismatched system mis-firing on 5 of 8 cylinders.
Geoff Poor of Glenn Poors AV accomplished similarly striking sound with a modest Wilson/BAT set-up with the Playback Designs MPD-8 and Audience Front Row cables. The demo resulted in Sabrina X and Audience FR cable purchase.
