The problem with Video podcasts is that there is no dialog.
First rule of a good communication is listening. If there is nobody to listen too, like in those monologue video podcasts, the risk is big that things go wrong.
The second mistake is talking about people that are not present, its just not fair. The third mistake in communication is making assumptions.
It looks to me that both @Paul and Kevin stepped into these traps during the referenced video podcasts.
Let’s face it, we all make these mistakes. Which is why things go bad sometimes.
Very true. And instantaneous world wide communication (usually without context or opposing viewpoints) doesn’t help either.
It’s hard enough communicating with someone in person at times, and the room for error and miscommunication is only amplified in the absence of dialog.
It’s also most beneficial if the dialog takes place in person, and not over the phone, in a fourm, or texting.
Often, when I’m watching one of Kevin’s Youtube performances, I’m reminded of and miss terribly the old cream pie in the face.
