Yes, well, I have no personal opinions in particular related to this article except for that I am positive to DSD in principle. DSD from my Lumin sounds superior to hirez PCM.

I have never heard DSD except at audio shows (lots of them). However, I have no idea what I am listening to at audio shows - DAC, cables, Pre, amps, speakers, source material? Of course, I am listening to a system. Never had an A/B comparison DSD-PCM.

I guess they have to adjust to the dealer MSRP when selling directly.....

This one is also sad as it reveals you are not listening to what is being said, but rather taking cheap shots merely to be unpleasant. In fact, I have detailed my experiences finding many differences - ironically, most recently in the thread on SACD v. an A/D/A PCM loop. :-))

Paul, I found a PS Audio reference in Post #26 by “matthias”. This dates back to 28 May so I’m sure it was conjecture. I should also refer you to Post #32 wherein “MnM” disparages PS Audio. I take all of this with a grain of salt since Linn folks are well versed in discounting all other manufacturers.

First, I have never questioned your ability or experience. Instead, I have noted many times that your perception is as valid as that of anyone else. I have also explicitly stated that no test result invalidates your individual perception and experiences. See, the ongoing thread on SACD v. an A/D/A loop.
Second, Frode does not deserve any negative treatment. If you are angry with me, do not take it out on him or anyone else. His perception and experience is as valid as yours and that of the rest of us.
Finally, please keep the discussion of perception v. objective testing in the ongoing thread where it belongs. Frode started this thread to bring Linn's view to the fore, not to serve as springboard for cheap shots.
Let us not muddy this thread any further. Please.

I found it by a coincidence since I am frequently browsing the Linn forums for views on the Lumin.
The Linn fan boys seems a little upset because of Lumin sometimes m/ >:)
