That’s awesome. I had a pretty cool music Teacher. But the day John Lennon was shot, he came to School absolutely speechless. We as a bunch of 11 year old kids didn’t really know his impact on Rock music, but he spent the entire class talking about him. I went out and bought the (Just Like) Starting Over 45rpm single that afternoon !
I recall discussing that, Bon Scott, and John Bonham too, the othe music teacher was much cooler, he took us for the last year of music O Level (16+ exams, big deal in UK), he had pink Floyd, and the Gryphon album in his classroom collection
Can you leave the m700son all the time without the preamp on?
Yes, encouraged. Mine have been on for 2 years with the exception of being away more than a few nights.
Me too ! But for one year.
It will depend on your preamp. On my new system with a BHK Preamp and M700 monos plus powered subwoofers, no problem. I leave the M700’s and the subs on 24/7 and turn the tube section of the BHK preamp on when listening and off when not. On my other system with tube pre and tube poweramp, NO!!! If I turn the tube preamp off prior to turning off the tube poweramp or the sub, I will get a nasty “pop” through the speakers and subwoofer. On that system I have to turn off the sub 1st, tube poweramp 2nd, wait about 5 to 10 seconds, then turn off the tube preamp 3rd, and finally music source component 4th.
Hmmm, naim, exposure, naca cabling - you wouldn’t happen to be the same Bob Edwards from the naim and pinkfish fora? I am very much enjoying my SGCD and Stellar Phono Preamp (no more naim, but still have the LP12).

That would be me!
Well, I am a relative newcomer here, but glad to see you and welcome!
