I’m listening right now to the DSD I bought from Juan with the transformer mod, the analog power board, the absorption material and external LPS mods.

Even just a few hours warmed up it’s showing improved colors. Most of you probably experienced these mods in phases. . . I got to be hit with them all at once. I’m feeling very fortunate.

I finally installed your external power supply board after I received my 12v linear power supply and soldered the umbilical to the GX16-2 connector. The installation process was straightforward. My DS sounded better after the XS4400 transformer upgrade, and the ext power supply elevated the sound to a higher level. Thanks very much for building the well-designed boards and sharing this cost-effective upgrade with other forum members!

I am coming up blank with each post I search for from the most excellent list.
Is it possible settings I have made here on the forum make the post numbers different?

I am entering the post numbers directly in the address box and coming up blank. Hmmm.
I’ll blame me.

Scroll all the way down. edit: selecting the post number box. Then use jump to post feature entering number.

Unfortunately the Jump To icon doesn’t appear when I look at this site with the Chrome Browser.

For me it doesn´t work on Firefox or Edge either. The only way to get to the “jump to” dialog is using Safari mobile in portrait mode and klick the blue post counter.

Good point. I edited my post to add that step. Note that it works in Safari and Opera browsers.

No jump to feature here as well using Chrome on a MAC Air. I did have success using the “# key” short-cut. I tried it from the end of this thread, and it did work.

Quite enjoying the modded DSD that is new to my system. After a few days I tried just the DSD without the Farad Super 3 LPS to see what the transformer mod brought. And I was surprised to actually prefer the system sound without the LPS. I could hear the lack of what the LPS was doing but the tonality was changed in an upward manner I didn’t prefer. Then I thought to try another power cord to the LPS, swapping the PS Audio for a My Audio Cables “Burly” power cord that I was using in another system and BOOM I got the best of all worlds as far as tonality and soundstage etc. The Farad Super 3 is very sensitive to power cabling!

I’m getting the best sound yet in my personal history now.

Lonson, sounds like you are having a fun day. New toy, new sounds, and new music experiences.

Yes, I have to enjoy today. . . tomorrow is most of the day with Dad, no complaints but I’ll be away from the system, and after that Lucy has a four day weekend. . . and that means. . . the stereo will be lonely, though I won’t be.

Wishing you well, enjoy your day with dad!

Thanks. Too bad I can’t move the stereo over there for the day. Dad would love to hear it! I caught my audio bug from him and his (modded) Dynamo/AR/Electrovoice system he got in '62.

Yes, I understand completely having a younger brother in a very similar situation. He is a music nut, and musician to the core. A huge Blues and Jazz fan with a bit of Sex Pistols thrown in to keep us all off balance. Unfortunately health issues have him residing in a nursing home as well. I still bring music to him for his listening enjoyment. When he could visit I could never tear him away from the listening room. A good thing.
