Paul, do you think it would be worthwhile moving from an old P500 (with the MultiWave update) to a P3? I’m not having any problems with the 500 (other than the internal fan is audible), so any change would be strictly for sound quality.

Even moving from a Power Plant Premier was a huge difference for me. So the older P500 should be an even larger upgrade. Honestly, every audiophile with a half way decent system should be using a Power Plant regenerator. It lets you squeeze more performance out of the system you already own.

I have a multiwave p300 as well as a P3, the difference in sound quality (in my system) is profound and I don’t use that word casually. The P3 is leaps and bounds beyond the first generation regenerators in improved sound quality.

You are going to love it! I found that it improved as it broke in as well, or maybe I was just adjusting to the greater clarity of the sound and the true performance (good and bad) of my various components. Keep us posted on how you like it.
