Big news! I am excited to share that Network Acoustics agreed to send me their pre-production Muon2 streaming system (filter + streaming cable) for comparison 
This week I was able to test it thoroughly and compare it with the Muon Pro and the EAhibrid EAL2000.
Puh, this is actually quite hard to put into words. I was already very convinced that my system was playing at a high level, but what the Muon2 did really went beyond my expectations. With the NA Tempus MK2 in place and the Muon Pro (which has been my reference so far, outperforming the EAhibrid EAL2000 – see my post above for that comparison), the new Muon2 filter and streaming cable (that alone already being a huge step forward) reached a level that was far beyond what I could have imagined: even more bass layers, greater silence, deeper insight into the music, capturing the finest nuances of instruments and voices, and an even better resolution and natural musicality. The improvement of the new generation feels as if you had added an incredible new amp on top and obviously makes also your DAC shine like never before. When people have described my setup as so natural and live-like, this is now on an entirely different level. The soundstage is massively extended in all dimensions, with additional energy, drive, and flow that propel the performance to completely embrace you.
One of the best signs for me over the years that something is truly special is when you listen to songs you have known forever. With some upgrades you may discover a new detail here or there, which is already great. But when you suddenly build an even deeper emotional connection to those songs again – when they touch you and feel so intimate – then you know it’s something really special. And that is actually the biggest compliment I can give the new Muon2.
I know Network Acoustics have been one of the pioneers in Ethernet filtering, and the Muon Pro was developed several years ago. But it’s amazing to see what new benchmark they are able to set with this milestone. So yeah – I think you guys will have a lot of fun with what’s coming
