The device is not on the market yet, and PS Audio staff may not see this. My guess is that it will process raw DSD via PST; the earlier Stellar DAC did.

A new Stellar DAC took me by surprise so I peeked at the spec page and found “Analog Conversion ES9018K2M DAC Chip” which is what I thought the GCD used.
I believe the SGD uses the 9038 Pro.

And 8 of them? 4 per channel. I got to admit, this sounds interesting.

So it uses the same DAC chip as the SGCD? I’ve never been that impressed with the DAC in the my SGCD…

Not 8 chips. One chip that utilizes all 8 channels within the chip!Wyred 4 Sound has been doing that for years too.
