Thank you very much
Yes it is leveled. The whole cart setup was done by the guy at upscale audio.
I just leveled it and reassembled it when I got home.
Its crazy how close it sounds to my digital rig (MKii + Airlens)

I went with a new cart. Hana ML - set up by the shop here. Seems to be more pronounced on some records? Is that something you guys find is normal? Variation in noise per channel depending on record?
I found that not to be true. Unfortunately, I cannot think of an easy way to check each channel, NOT using the phono input.
Could one of the wires from the cart be a little loose to the tone arm? Does it increase in volume as you turn the volume up? Could the cart be slightly misaligned? As mentioned above is the anti skate correctly set, also is the counter balance correctly set?
I might also check to make sure all your connections are firmly in place to rule out any loose connections.
Appreciate the input. I didn’t do the setup myself, someone at the store I purchased it at did. They said it was all done correctly. They said anti skate and all was done properly. There was tape holding everything in place so I couldn’t really move it when I got here. I have noticed it’s worse on certain albums. It doesn’t seem volume dependent but ill need to double check that
connections just checked, seems good there. I did add a second ground and it seemed to help a bit
Negative. Should sound mellifluous like mine does.
No tax? I didn’t think any internet vendors could do that anymore.
Skyfi Audio in N.J. is a good store to deal with. Fernando Zorilla owns the store and puts out a lot of videos on You Tube. They advertise no tax on their site. I bought my Technics table and DS 003 optical cartridge from them. Very secure packing. Very happy with their service. I find it interesting that they will take cars in trade for audio equipment.
Sharp!
