Perfect Wave DSJ or DMP-A6ME?

Ok guys and gals. I am currently feeding my Stellar S300 amp (which I love) directly with a Wiim Pro+. I’d like to upgrade from the Wiim as a source and am considering the Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition.

I have seen that I can get a certified pre-owned PerfectWave DSJ for about the same price from a dealer I have used in the past and trust. I have seen mostly great reviews for the DSJ. I would be happy to add another PS Audio device to my system, if it makes sonic sense.

My main questions are these:

Can a 7 year old DAC (with a 2021 firmware update) compete with the latest off the shelf ESS chips in the implementation that Eversolo uses in terms of sound quality?

Is there considerable risk of component degradation in a 7yr old DAC/preamp?

I see that the DSJ has the Bridge II built-in. I primarily listen to Qobuz. Can I easily stream Qobuz to the DSJ without using Roon?

Lastly, is driving a Gain Cell DAC, or the new Stellar DAC with the Wiim as a transport an option that makes any sense?

I own neither, having more upmarket devices. When it comes down to purchasing digital gear a fine rule of thumb is to invest in the latest vetted technology. Don’t over think it. Many heare have been most pleased with EverSolo products. A purchase on Amazon allows for a reasonable trial and return period as well.
