Hi @Paul I’m excited about the release of the PMG phono preamp. I’m looking to purchase it when it’s released. I will be purchasing a new table, arm and cart too. I’m curious; which Table, arm, cart is PSA planning on using to voice the PMG phono? I’m a big believer of system synergy, now would be the time to plan the purchasing of my new analog front end.

Obviously I’m not Paul, but I believe in the past Paul has mentioned that they use a VPI turntable in the reference system. From his videos it Looks like it could but a Model 1 or Classic. Cart on the other hand I have no idea. If he’s mentioned it before in the videos I’ve missed it. Hope this helps.
Yes, it helps. Thx
It was voiced with a Kuzma Stabi R, 11” 4PT tonearm, and several carts - the main being a Lyra Etna Lambda.
Thank you Darren. I’m glad you chimed in.
I have a Sl1200 50th anniversary, and someone offer to trade to a Sota with sme tonearm, would that be a good idea?
That looks like an original Classic (I imagine it would be Classic I) in rosewood. The initial Classic had the motor up front like this. The later Classics had the motor in the rear left corner.
PS Audio has (or at least had, haven’t been there in a couple of years) a VPI HW40 direct drive turntable. Not sure how much they use it, I didn’t see too much vinyl last time I was there. Of course, Darren already identified (above) the turntable used to voice the PMG phonostage. That turntable may have also been used for voicing the Stellar phonostage.
