PMG Signature Pre has arrived and it sounds amazing

Yes. That thing is heavy, almost like a brick.

Uncle Hoku, in the listening room, with a Mark Levison remote. Hmmm?

Show off!

I guess so…

This thread went off the rails.

We wouldn’t have it any other way

I’ve been a Harmony Remote guy since they launched and was, at one point, an accidental evangelist for the remotes.

I have three at this point and use a 700 in my listening room for all the components. The product has been orphaned so there’s no way to modify, add, remove devices.

@tony22 Even used the D’agostino is out of my price range.

Got wood?

RTi ISR-4
Everything under one control. But unfortunately not with PMG. :-1:

Clearly not attempting to over compensate. Nice remote.

universal remotes

what proportion of products have them? never seen anywhere a product with one. is PSA unique in not supplying a universal remote?

as a simpleton, don’t want one. I need labeled buttons, not icons and numbers. I don’t need to change channels on my amp, turntable, powered subwoofer, toaster, washing machine, refrigerator, car, airplane panel, or anything else. and visa versas.

tried one, mating electronic boxes had no appeal. never worked consistently, and I needed a cheat cheat card…but my dog or roaches ate it. so gave the remote away.

No interest in universal remote or phone app, often phone elsewhere when I listen…have one remote for PS DAC and Transport, one for my BAT preamp…all is good…do love metal remotes…

RE: Logitech Harmony remote support. I was able to add a new device quite recently. Are you sure you can’t do this anymore? I love their products too.

The classic Cadillac of remotes

And the programming utility still works under Windows 11!

Ha, I used to program those for the local shop. Had a whole stash of pre built buttons etc. Still have my pronto pro sitting in a box someplace. Could not come to toss it.

I had this remote for VERY short period of time..I wrote this mag back after this article and they agreed after publishing my letter. I thought that was cool. Not enough memory if you did not have marantz gear… I got 32 buttons programed before it ran out… not nearly enough. The remote never did well.

Maybe someone can start a “Remotes” topic and take this from the PMG Preamp thread.

I ordered a remote ir sensor for connecting to the MU2. Will let everyone know how it works.

Why, and, didn’t the sensor come with the MU2?
I believe I used it in the beginning and after syncing the IPhone there was no need for it.

PS Audio / PMG has a preamp?
