Electrical supply houses will have 10/2 available, solid core. No need to order on-line. Call them to see if they sell retail or not first.
Sounds like the flunky at Home Depot didn’t know what they were looking up.

He needs THHN wires, not Romex. It has to be pull into the wiremold. Romex is not permitted in his building. But solid #10 THHN is readily available where I live in Home Depot or Lowes or any other electrical supply house. I don’t know what the problem in his area. Like I said, stranded wire is fine also, just terminating it is tricky.
My bad, haven’t followed the whole thread. Agreed, THHN should also be available at any HD or Lowe’s nationwide. I vote solid vs. stranded.

There might be a supply problem for solid 10 gauge thhn wire at the moment. I know Lowe’s looked on the computer, and it wasn’t even available for order. I went ahead and ordered some on Amazon; it should arrive in the next few days. Sadly, lots of extra left over; I needed 32 feet for each wire, and it was only available in 50 feet rolls.
I found 75 feet pieces on Amazon just now. If you cut each piece in half, you will have less leftover.
I don’t know if it’s too late but I found the wires cheaper on Ebay. 75 feet each color and 40 feet #12 green. You can use #12 green since it is 20 amps circuit and you only need i piece.
![thumbnail-6|666x500]there is (are) sonic reasons to stay with 10 gauge…
All the current conductors are #10 solid THHN. The ground safety wire can be #12. The ground wire size has no bearing on sound. The reason for #12 ground is to save space as it may be too crowded in the wiremold.
Actually, all that is needed is 75 feet of one color, red or black #10 THHN and cut in half to get two pieces of one color. It doesn’t matter if it’s the same color for the two circuits.
Thanks for looking. I had already ordered the wire on Amazon, though I ordered #10 for the ground wire as well.
