“Necessary” is an interesting and dangerous word. :blush: Can we just say less necessary than before, but for me, the preamp remains an essential element in the chain.

The BHK pre and the PMG DAC make a wonderful combination and are what we initially voiced the PMG DAC with, so I would have zero hesitation pairing them.

It is Roon ready, of course, but it will also work with any of the others, like Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz (new app), and of course DLNA.
