I was told by Serguei it’s like lifting vs non-lifting ground.
Again, an explanation would be fun. Like why would one want to interrupt the ground leg? And what would be the analog vs digital distinction?
Maybe
interrupting the ground leg reduces noise running along the cable that could be passed along to the component in question. Maybe the distinction is digital will be quieter with less noise anomalies riding along the ground path and analog is not as susceptible. Just guessing here…
The guy who makes Fidelium cables believes not having the ground connected is the way to make any power cable sound better.

So does Luxman…They did not have a ground pin on my D10x ac input.
I have a Stealth Dream V12 Power Cable that I bought from a member of this forum.
Are we confusing ground with shield?

I am not. The Fidelium guy does not make or sell power cables. He believes the power cable that comes with the gear is as good as one needs. Just go to a hardware store and spend a dollar on the adapter that turns a three pronged plug into a two pronged plug and heaven will be revealed.
He believes. He. Not me.
But he may be on to something.
But here, on this forum, ground control is Major Tom.
Sans white paper adds to the mystique.
Nor on the Luxman 509X. I’d consider it situational at best. Not a hard and fast rule.
Few things amuse me more than when an expert tells me “that’s all you need”.
Some years ago I was listening to a system that cost more than a house. Beautiful stuff all linked together with lamp cord and courtesy cables. He figuratively patted us on the heads when some of us suggested better cables. “if your components need better cables, your components are poorly designed” was his answer. His system did sound good, though.
We all could be imagining the improvements. I just love the expense. I am fairly certain anyone who spends less than me is imagining improvements.
A friend of mine who had a complete Levinson system…with eight 25w class A amps, Magnaplanar Tympani 1D’s, two 24” Hartley subs, and Sequerra ribbon tweeters…once said, “If it doesn’t hurt, it isn’t good enough”. He reminds me of you. 
Is that the cable you sent back to Stealth for the ground plug?
I lost the equivalent of a Gryphon Diablo 333 on the market today. It doesn’t hurt. Last Tuesday I made the same amount. That really didn’t hurt.
It’s a roller coaster enjoy the ride.
It’s good to be “king”.
I can’t imagine spending big bucks on truly great kit and not making sure all the bits and bobs that go along with it are at least better than average in quality and performance.
