Stellar Strata Amplifier?

It is not so much as a rule, as a courteous, respectful convention.

Thanks man…I feel much better now. Nice…

I don’t even know how beta testing works an probably many on this thread neither.

The only thing I know is that it is NOT for overseas customers like me. Nevertheless I am curious how it works, if you need to pay for the device, or you get it for loan and ha e to return it and pay if you decide to keep it?

Pitty we can not participate over here in Europe though, it would be a swell amp to match with my Cantons and vintage Thorens Turntable. Come on somebody has to test the 230 V option.

There are no formal rules for beta testing. The product could be software/firmware, an entirely new product, an upgrade to an existing product. It may be closed, it may be by invitation only, it may be open to anyone interested, etc.

Yeah, I guess I was just thinking that politeness counts.
Paul preaches that there are no dumb questions so making like I’m uncouth for asking was a bit much, IMHO.

I’m playing with the notion of the Strata for setting a system for a family member, but not sure if it would be the Strata or SGCD and M300, looking to see how they each perform.

If you are interpreting my explanation as implying you are impolite for asking you are reading into it something which is not there - but you get kudos for creativity!

“The First Rule of Beta Testing Club is…”

“There is no Beta Testing Club”

It is interesting how certain phrases from moves become iconic. I have never seen the movie, but I know the idiomatic reference.

So where does “That’s what I am talking about” come from?

Fats Waller - The Joint is Jumpin’

Well done!

The phrase became very popular in commercials, etc. around ten years ago. Perhaps it just came back into favor.

Fight Club is a lot more interesting than the title would suggest.

I take no position; I have not seen the movie.

I am not a movie person, I get bored and twitchy very quickly. But once in a while I watch a movie for cultural literacy or for a specific reason.

For example, after learning the initial invasion sounds were scored as percussion in Saving Private Ryan and with sampled weaponry then substituted, I had to hear/see this. It was quite interesting. (The remainder of the movie is dreadfully corny.)

Similarly, I watched 1917 as it was filmed to appear as if it was shot continuously with a single camera (it was not). Having found Russian Ark interesting (this film was actually recorded entirely in a one-take single 96-minute Steadicam sequence shot - very cool, plus gorgeous art, live music, and costuming) I watched 1917. It was not nearly as good.

I have an advantage in that I know a “member of the academy” who can get me anything on DVD so I need not go to a theater.

You got me! I nearly spit out my tea all over my monitor when I read your post.

This phrase was bounced about in central Texas in the 'eighties . . . and then fizzled out with that decade, there.

Thanks!

Russian Ark is a favorite film.

So, forum members ask about beta testing which was a big hype with the Stellar Phono Pre Amp introduced by PS Audio.

For the Stellar Strata you don’t like being asked those questions and derail the thread or what?

Haha, funny.
