Unfamiliar with J.M.I. records. Do they lean towards a specific style and sound? I did find this:

EDIT: A bit more info showing promise and a focus on those things that most impact sonic quality:
Every J.M.I. release is recorded, mixed, mastered and manufactured using only analog technology.

I picked up three and I can’t say they have a particular sound, but I do believe they are all based in New York City. I have a Steve Wilson, a Lage Lund, and an Antero Sievert record. Each one is really good with perhaps the Sievert being my favorite. And as you found - the recordings and pressings sound excellent
