Ivo is releasing product at an incredible rate, significantly outdoing David Murray in the late eighties through the nineties. I’d buy some, but currently they are only available as downloads. Should his label, Mahakala, make CDs available I’m all in. I’ve been looking forward to Ivo’s sax duet boxset, boxset implying it will be issued on CD, Reed Rapture in Brooklyn.

The whole box, you’ve been a busy boy!

Considering that they are out takes I wasn’t expecting much. Considering its Brubeck’s Take Five Quartet, I should have expected plenty as that’s what I heard. Recommended, highly recommended for Brubeck fans.

Still have my original, as I recall it’s a fun one.

Considering your posting of Piccolo, you may like McCoy Tyner’s Supertrios. featuring two sides with Tony Williams and Ron Carter followed by two sides with Eddie Gomez and Jack DeJohnette.

I’m with you, I would purchase the ‘box set’ if it is ever released on cd…I don’t want to download 12 cds worth of material….

Charlie Haden & John Taylor Nightfall, laid back and a fine recording by Ken Christianson.

Yup, and that brings the Anthony Braxton release from a couple of years back. The music is fine, but they released it on one disc in Blu-ray format. As such it has only had one listen in this house. What were they thinking?
