Very nice. Where did you get the door stops?
I am in the market for a few more and I like the look of yours.
Enjoy the MU2.

@scotte The weights are from Amazon.
I even actually use one of them as intended–a doorstop protecting a REL Carbon from the back door!!!
Congrats!
What an incredible amount of wires! Enjoy!
@luca.pelliccioli There is obviously no Ms. andynotadam.
Having said that, I am making a plan to make this whole thing a bit easier on the eyes…
How is the MU2 sounding?
Meh……
@adifferentpaul Not quite 48 hours in, but there was a transformation overnight. Startling actually, particularly in terms of of realism, naturalness and bloom within the stage, accompanied by an almost eerily quiet background.
I’ve got stuff to do this afternoon, but I can’t seem to get up off the couch!!!
Does the Grimm have a home theatre bypass, asking due to shelf space, I would have to get rid of my preamp
The MU2 does not have a specific “bypass” button, but has an XLR analog input and analog XLR output, as well as an analog RCA input and an analog RCA output, and you can set the volume control to anything you want.
I have used the MU2 with both its preamp function and without its preamp function using my tube preamp.
Thanks for getting back so quickly.. I guess my fear of not having a bypass is forgetting and then playing music at full blast unless it remembers volume by input?
The MU2 has a setting where the next time it starts up it automatically goes to the predetermined volume setting that you set. But if you keep the MU2 on, you do have to be conscious of adjusting volume control BEFORE you switch inputs. If you develop a habit of ALWAYS lowering the volume before changing inputs, you should be good.
Thanks so much!
