No I use The HDPlex 300 to power M-1 that’s max current pull is 13A , but has a fuse of 10A. The HD Plex controller shuts i off it it pulls over 13A The Teradak 15A was designed for M-2 and M-2 Pr -that has a different higher possible power current draw than M-1. You would have to see which M-1 they specified and loaded it with. It has two 12V outputs. both LPS use R core transformers.
Dear all, This is my first post on this forum. I will try to peek my head in every once in a while to contribute to the discussions and try to answer questions. (I have asked two of my colleagues at Theoretica to sign up and do the same).
FYI, the main reason BACCH4Mac takes up to 4 weeks to ship is because we have to hand-build each of the BACCH-BM (regular or Pro) microphones (which are truly calibrated scientific instruments) and measure their response in our anechoic chamber to produce the individualized free-field equalization filters that we include with each microphone we ship.
Regards,
Edgar
p.s. The Mac mini that we recommend is not the one you listed above. We recommend the Mac mini M2 with 16 GB and 10 Gigabit Ethernet. It is available directly from Apple for $900.
Welcome to the forum!
Fantastic.
I am not a user but have enjoyed learning about your products and I look forward to learning more, with your participation.
Welcome.
Welcome Edgar. Hope you’re closer to releasing the ultimate room correction Beta. I have been checking the email.
I was listening to the IR head tracking with my wife in the sweet-spot with her own personal head transfer function and me right of her. But I kept stealing the tracker though intentionally not trying to. So question, is what facial features is causing this? I noticed if I was drinking wine it would flip back to her. Or if I put hand over my face. Mouth or nose or eyes and nose. I was wondering if my bald head or bigger nose was driving tracker to lock on me , Even if I was 3 feet right of the right boundary red line, it would still want to jump to me. That is 6 feet away it would lock on me. If she is right of me it never jumps to her unless her face is put right in front of mine to intentionally steal head tracking.
Welcome, Edgar!
Welcome Edgar!
Robert Hutchins - Another happy customer!
Edgar,
Welcome aboard!
We would like to take this time to thank you very much, you have changed our lives… Carolyn and I have never listened and enjoyed so much music!
We would also like to thank you for the personal attention you give.
Sincerely,
Steve08226
Thank you, Steve. We at Theoretica never take such accolades for granted. I very much enjoy interacting with BACCHers personally, and I am delighted to see many of them on this forum.
Welcome Edgar!
Thank you for the warm welcome.
The had tracker looks for human facial features to lock in on a head and start tracking it. If it looses tracking for an instant and there is another face in the same view frame it might to jump to tracking that person’s head. Both BACCH4Mac and the BACCH-SP have a zoom feature that allows framing the person sitting in the listening position and excluding nearby people outside the frame.
During the COVID era we worked hard on improving head tracking so that head tracking can track a face wearing a face mask (as some thought we might be stuck with such masks forever). We succeeded, (as you can verify if you still own such a mask!). This improved the robustness of head tracking in general (so that now wives are tracked as soon as their husbands are distracted by a glass of wine).
Thanks for the clarification on the zoom function. I will try that feature to make the wine bottle last longer. I assume one zooms using the screen inn the upper right hand window. I didn’t realize that zoom adjustment was possible after the initial setting of one’s head transfer filter.
The official Bacch head tracking mask I am guessing was fashioned from a bust like this?![]()
You do realize us audiophiles also like the tin foil hats better? But thanks for improving the algorithm so no mask or hat is needed. I can just imagine asking others to wear a mask for a demo. They already think we are a crazy lot of strange ducks.
Darrell
Welcome Edgar,
I think a lot of BaCCHers have become interested because of this marvellous forum (like me).
Good to know, that you’re around from now ![]()
Cheers
Christian
Great to see you on the forum Edgar - welcome!
Yes, The Zoom function is controlled by the slider in the upper right hand corner of BACCH-dSP’s advanced settings panel. But once you change that setting you should remake any head-tracked BACCH filters as the change in framing would mess up the head tracking coordinates. The same applies if you move the camera by even a tiny bit.
Thank you, Christian, and I also thank everyone else who has welcomed me into this forum. I am looking forward to contributing to the BACCH-related discussions here.
Welcome Edgar!
300B tubes are known for their highly holographic imaging. This comes because of the extra harmonic distortion/information in the higher frequencies region, so you experience more crosstalk cancellation by your own head.
Now I want to build a MEH multiple entry horn with pattern directivity control down to 200hz and point source behavior, where the efficiency will be very high.
Would 300B amplification contribute to Bacch XTC or does it actually work counterproductively?
I am perhaps two weeks away from getting my BACCH4MAC setup. I have the internal power supply board and the largest power supply yet not counting the P20. I may not install that in the first month.
I can’t wait to see things from others point of view!
Feeding the BACCH-SP to a Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC tonight. Yikes! It is a very noticeable change. Lively! Transparent! Edgy.
I’m looking forward to your comparison of the BACCH4Mac with your BACCH-SP. I really hope you like your BACCH4Mac better. ![]()
My wish list doesn’t need another entry ![]()
