FDA Grants Lenire® Tinnitus Treatment Device

Interesting, but it doesn’t say how it works, at least to me. I have no idea what a “bimodal neuromodulation device” is, would have been nice if they described how it worked.

Lenire applies bimodal neuromodulation, the pairing of mild electrical stimulation to the tongue with sound stimulation. This pairing works to retrain neurons in the brain to reduce its attention and sensitivity to the tinnitus sound.

There are so many causes for Tinnitus, I wonder how this approach, or anything short of a miracle, can possibly alleviate this cursed affliction. The medical profession is not advanced enough to even treat it, much less alleviate it. Though, I always hope that something, someday, will eventually work.

Pick me! Pick me!!!

Thanks for the video! Interesting concept, I’ll have to check with my ENT in a few months to see if they are aware of this.

There has to be some side effect, like everything then sounds out of phase, lol.
The fine print would read…may cause worsening of tinnitus, vertigo, heart palpations and uncontrolled vomiting.
