We also love cars

How long have you had this?

It is calord’s. He’s watching F1 racing. I’ll text him.

I just can’t get the movie ā€œCarsā€ out of my mind when I see this pic.

Hi Ron… I’ve owned the GT3 since new. Delivered to me 8 Sept, 2003.

Lovely when you love a car enough to keep it long term. I bought my 83 911SC in 84 with 1600 miles on it and my 69 911S in 1971. My son will inherit them. They still give me pure pleasure; not a rattle or squeak. Neither engine has ever been out.

That is an impressive track record Mr. Ron! If only everything (and everybody!) in our lives was as reliable…

Question is… who will inherit your stereo system?

@JeffofArabica - I have been paying @RonP $5.00 a week for almost a year… get in line Bro! You take the stereo, I want the guitars…

I guess Greg too. But who knows what it will be like then?! Maybe a chip in our heads.

Actually, I might take my Tele with me. We’re quite inseparable. Again: 1967, even up trade for my Twin Reverb.

Yeah, I guess you’re right. It will not have enough ā€œageā€ to be cool. It will be the equivalent of a 1971 Pinto…

I’ve had my Nissan Juke Nismo for almost three years now. It’s the first new car I’ve ever bought, and it’s my second favorite car I’ve owned ever, and it reminds me a lot of my favorite car, a '64 Alfa Romeo Spyder Veloce 1600. The Nismo is perfect for my needs and has been a truly reliable and fun machine.

I always enjoy such stories. The best car is the one which works for you.

I’m loving the C8 Z51 Convertible. Looks like I will be downgrading in 2022. The handling is the main attraction with COG… at 3S 0-60mph for stock Vette (Z51) and 500HP… Z06 speculating 1,000HP in 2021 is like really… H.S. that is a little much… yeah convertible Z51 with ~1G SP and not going 6cylinder twin turbo… I’m in… with LT4… and the sump pump changes w/ racing options…

edit - LT2 not LT4, my apologies…

I can’t wait to drive one.
I can still feel how exciting it was when my father would take me to the Chevy dealer when they’d introduce the new year. They’d paper over the windows for a couple days and then the Big Reveal! Hot dogs and coffee and cake, it was an annual party. In '66, he couldn’t get me out of the bronze color SS396. And he went and bought one! As soon as I found out, I went straight thru puberty.

I know fast SUVs are held in low esteem on this thread, but I drove this X3M competition a couple times over the last 2 days. Really fun, yet practical, daily driver. Liked it a lot. Little hesitation below 2000rpms, beyond 2000rpms, it’s a beast. I’m not a sophisticated car guy, I want fun, fast, ability to haul some construction stuff and luxury. Fits all my criteria.

It sounds perfect.

500 HP is amusing, whatever the package.

Macan Turbo fits that bill for me.

Great car for sure. A close business associate/friend has one. Sooo many options if you order one.

I’ve had many great German and Italian sports car over my younger years and I loved many of them. The only one that I never had a desire to part with was my 911SC. Fast forward many years and the reality of what I need is an SUV. My main reason is practical. My 20 year old son is permanently disabled and in a wheelchair. For a variety of reasons we don’t drive German cars in my family. I drive a Jeep SRT and it makes me smile every time I punch the gas.

OK - here goes - this ā€œnon American carā€ sits in my driveway… If it isn’t American, it does not belong in my 3 car garage… 2015 RR Evoque…
