“I don’t have a player”
I’ve been looking around for an used deck, since Cat has now started to hunt for cassettes. I found some possibilities and sent an email to Bill Watkins of Watkins Stereo, maker of my speakers, about what he thought of theses decks and any advice.
He responded telling me he got a deck out of his basement, cleaned and installed a new belt, working great. Told me consider it a gift and pick it up next time I’m over that way. Free is a good thing!!!
now that is fab - generosity is a wonderful and surprising thing 
i have a Teac 2 head cassette machine in the garage but it would need a lot of servicing to get going.
my son used it some about ten years ago but now it is mechanically non functional.
meantime i am streaming from the comfort of my chair and i like it
