I have this HDTT album in my library, and like the SQ very much, but I decided to play the red book version which includes ‘The Fountains of Rome’ and ‘Pines of Rome’, both of which were performed yesterday in the proms concert…

Ah yes…, I was focused on The Birds, not the Roman threesome. And now you’ve interested me in listening to those, also. 
I do wish Bob could find a good source for them.
(Yes I know that Christmas is 3.5 months away!) “Fireworks” - this album certainly lives up to it. It starts with a wall of brass. The extremely talented Ms Balsom is a joy. I played the disc on repeat for over 2 hours this afternoon.! (too busily involved with a job to swap discs).. After the initial shock to the senses - I was won over.
She is a fine trumpet player.
