A multiracial beauty

lead singer, fiddler and banjoist and a founder of Carolina Chocolate Drops

attended North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics in Durham

and studied opera at Oberlin Conservatory at Oberlin College,

A project with T-Bone Burnett

My understanding is that in working with producer T-Bone Burnett, he loved her voice but

warned about not “burning it out” - that he provided tips and training so that her voice might last a career.

Another project was "American Railroad "with Silk Road Ensemble

and 2025 release with Justin Robinson

Some PBS stations have carried “American Railroad” half hour tv episodes with Rhiannon and highlighted individual Silk Road Ensemble musicians, and another series based in Ireland (“her second home”) highlighting Irish/Celtic musicians and singers.
Have seen these typically on Sunday afternoons.

I was re-reading some old correspondence with one of my University of Chicago friends about jazz (he’s one of the best pianists and guitarists I’ve ever befriended and had been a music professor at Yale, and is now a music professor at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor). So I decied it was time for some “Chicago Style” so to speak.
