I think Dirk has decided to stop posting as he deleted his picture avatar and is back to the generic “D.” You may recall he did this before and later returned.
In the past I have encouraged him to keep posting, especially in this thread, telling him people would miss his posts here.
New on Qobuz. HR. I am cautious about Vivaldi, but his pieces here were enjoyable because the playing and the sound quality were good, and there was good imaging. Bach, of course, is Bach.
I listened to this LP the other day. 
In a state of mania, just got back from food shopping. I wear a mask and gloves every time I go out and am usually the only one, after all how many folks had a recent Bone Marrow Transplant but today it was like being back on the isolation unit, everyone wearing some form of PPE. Had to tell 2 older ladies their masks were on upside down. Managed to get it done at flank speed and now home relaxing. Whew! 
Trying to calm down with Nat. I’m at defcon 5 with worry now. I’ve bragged about my daughter in Costa Rica. She’s was part of a team selling an amazing dream on the ocean. A calm, beautiful Italian style vila. The original virus plan was for her to hunker down there and re-access after the initial storm subsided. Last night I had a massive anxiety attack about her that I couldn’t dismiss. I soon found out her company is collapsing financially and it’s every man for himself. They had 30 new homes in the works and everyone cancelled (and lost big deposits). The other factor is Costa Rica is closing its boarders! She was married but it didn’t work out so she’s alone too.
She bought a first class ticket out of Saigon for 6:00 am tomorrow. She’s leaving a lot of stuff and emotions behind in a pile. She also has a cat that she loves nearly as much as her own life. She has to accomplish a bunch of stuff to get the cat on the airplane! Hope there’s no Sophie’s choice moment for her,…but I want her home!
The financial impact of this thing is a big deal. The carnage will be felt more in some places more than others. Her dream is now dead. She’s an amazing and passionate woman. She’ll survive but wow, I can’t breath.

Hopefully she makes it home in good shape. I know it’s hard to back up a couple steps and take a broader view. Luckily my business has no debt so we will survive the storm but it will certainly be interesting and much changed on the other side.
