Now playing disc 1 of this two cd set. This is the release that made me a William Parker as a leader fan and also changed my mind about Hamid Drake who I wasn’t really into before.
A wonderful fusion of jazz and funk and highlighting the compositional greatness of a song-writer who really left us too soon.

Despite being a later release of material from four different sessions this is a Shepp album I really like.
