Last one for the weekend. See y’all next week. Been fun as usual. Gonna watch John Legand in Jesus Christ Superstar.
The second disc of the Teddy Wilson Classic Columbia and Brunswick recordings box set by Mosaic.

Zelia Duncan, self-titled second CD. This gal was recommended to me by a fellow fan of Brazilian music and I have to say I like this. Quite a rich voice! Nice guitars and mandolins. Very 'nineties in production values, and surprisingly folksy and jazzy in a Joni sort of way…
New SHM-CD from Japan (features the “RVG Edition” mastering).
guilty pleasure!!!

Thelonious Monk “The London Collection” Japan 2 cd set. Sounds great. Disc 1.
L–never saw that one. Do you have the catalog id?
Hey Ron, it came out in January this year, and the sound is the best I’ve have ever heard of these sessions before.
The catalog number is: MZCB-1365
The Jan/ISBN number is: 4524505337356
Title is “The Complete Last Recordings”
I got mine (and so many other Japanese releases) from cdjapan.co.jp
Thanks!
Here I go again with solo stuff:
Don’t you want something different once in a while? This album happened just moments before John lost his ability to play anything that wasn’t painfully outside; and some great grooves here. And it’s a good workout for your system. I usually wait for Terry to go out to book club or something. (The fan in the P5 is always on after this)
J. S. Bach:
‘Ich Bin Vegnügt Mit Meinem Glücke’, BWV 84
‘Christus, Der Ist Mein Leben’, BWV 95
‘Komm Du Süße Todesstunde’, BWV 161
L. van Beethoven: Piano Trio in E flat major, Op. 70/2
Morton Feldman: Cello and Orchestra
