What SPL meter do you use?

I’m not sure if the newer versions of that RS meter have the same FR characteristics

My understanding is the corrections are only for the analog version of the Radio Shack meter. The digital readout version of the Radio Shack meter is different and, if memory serves me right, not as good nor correctable. I know Richard Vandersteen only recommends the analog meter and is the meter intended to be used with his Vandertones set up disc.

I’ve been using the MiniDSP UMIK-1 with REW and it’s been great for room measurements. Super easy to set up and gives consistent results. If you just want a quick check though, the SPL app on iPhone isn’t too bad once you calibrate it.
