They just announced, starting next week, Svengoolie will now be on for 2 1/2 hours. This means he can stop showing the short 90 minute movies he’s been showing, and show a whole lot of different movies. Yippie!

Love those movies. Have a bunch on DVD. The freaskish thing is the “Je ne sais quoi” of those two not being matched often since.

Get It On T.Rex’d its way into 2023 as the first song. I should have stopped with Life’s A Gas, to avoid It’s a Rip Off. anyway, that’s how it ended. Rip Off!

HBO played Suicide Squad 2 and that was fine for me. Sadly, do to it taking my full attention I neglected to notice I was 35 steps short of my daily steps goal so my 195 day streak came to an end at midnight.
That goal trashed, my desire to live has left me. Now I mostly sleep.
Choices have consequences I guess.

What was the daily goal?
10,000.
I was up at my lake place, alone on New Years Eve. There were trees down across the driveway. Plus two plus feet of concrete like snow. I worked for three hours thinking for sure my heart was going to fail. When done I had 6000 steps left to do. I walked 3000 steps away in the dark. It was swell. Then I walked back and when I arrived inside I saw I had 35 steps left. I was thinking with two hours left before midnight I would for certain walk 35 steps. Smart Al, if one exists would have walked the 35 steps. But instead I sat down just as the movie started. Had I paused it to make popcorn, the steps would have happened. But no, this dumb movie (Suicide Squad 2) that I have seen so many times before grabbed my attention. Plus, I was very sore from chain sawing and pushing a snowblower that was hard pressed to get the job done. So all of a sudden it’s midnight.
I didn’t discover my mistake until the next night when I got my 10,000 in and it didn’t do the Hooray your streak is now xxxx thing it normally does. Bah.
And tomorrow I have to take my favorite bunny of all time, Penny, to the vet. It’s time to send her to the Rainbow Bridge where my other bunnies will shun her for being my favorite.
In the good news department, Hyundai finished putting a brand new engine in my SUV. No charges for that or the nice 2023 they loaned me for two weeks. I like Hyundai. They treat me well.
So far 2023 is a mixed bag. I haven’t listened to my system in four days as Penny is down here suffering from arthritis something fierce, even though I am giving her pain relief meds daily. I may put music on tonight that she has enjoyed in the past. When she enjoys it she sits next to me so I can pet her while we listen. Damn.

It is done. She is no more. It went well, but I would give anything to still have her. Her sister bunny Connie is now testing the various cage systems protecting my gear. Connie is young and she can climb, jump, and fly. She may be a poor fit for my audio room.
