ArgentPur Solid Silver Speaker Cables & Interconnects. I’m a self professed cable denier and believed that cables had only one job to do. Plug & unplug hundred’s of times and never fail at it.
Then my friend Ernest (“Ernie”) Muenier sent me some cables as a thank you for building him 10 pairs of “Monobloc’s” based on the Orchard Audio Ultra Amplifier modules.
Wider soundstage, more focused phantom center, hearing things in the mixes that I knew were there before but buried (e.g. the infamous “bow drop” of Ray Brown’s on We Get Requests).
My thoughts on the Amps I build for him and the cables:
The DAC I recently built with Orchard Audio’s latest version of it’s Pecan Pi+ DACv2 AKM based DAC chips. It’s my new PCM reference. While the King is still the DSSr (aka MK1) at DSD playback. It’s PCM playback has been dethroned (but not by much…“trust me”…I’ have a You Tube Channel ) by the PecanPi+
You must be in MD also?
All that lumber you can build a MBL tiny house.
I just ordered a new record cleaning machine from The Cable Company. $800 frequent flyer discount, free shipping and no sales tax. Can’t beat that. It’s the 2023 Vinyl Cleaner Pro X Record Cleaner by Audio Desk Systeme. It an upgrade to my trusty Okki Nokki Record Cleaner that’s pretty much manual operation besides the rotation and vacuum. Records do sound much better after a good cleaning. I want to see what a real cleaning machine can do for the sound.
I have one of those I no longer use. The Degritter is way better IMHO.
But it does a fine enough job though!
Definitely better visuals!
It had some good reviews, but if I have a problem with it, I’ll get a Degritter next. We’ll see.
@minnesotafats has had one two three four Auto Desk cleaners fail on him. I never had a problem with mine. He likes and is staying with his.
Buzz kill…🫵🏻
Nice.
But how does it clean very good, that’s my main concern. It does have a two years warranty.
Does it work on DSD256 downloads?
It cleans very well. And The Cable Company will take great care of you if you run into an issue. I bought mine from them and I am a great fan of them.
It may have a USB port for thumb drives I’m not sure if it cleans them.
Matt, I would suggest you put some “sleepers” under those boxes to be safe. No matter how dry you think your basement is, it doesn’t hurt to be careful and keep anything that can be damaged by water at least a couple of inches above the floor.
Better still, set them in a rubber raft with the floor uninflated.
