If you, lucky US customers, are able to find a “compliant” dealer who let you try STEALTH cables at home, well it should be worth doing a comparison between AG and Copper version.
At least until Al and I can finalize our half-distance meeting in the ocean, bringing our Clouds under that sky!

I’ve looked at Google Maps in the past, and have seen some scarry islands out there in the middle of nowhere, with nothing but ocean all around, and the islands very unsafe looking.

Thanks for posting this. What does it say when a price like this is okay but the features just don’t line up? This has a selectable fixed volume out (for my outside system) but no DLNA/uPnP for JRiver (as far as I can tell)….I have looked at so many now. Only the Linn has it all. It’s always fun looking!
edit…there is a mention of DLNA for the usb port finding drives….maybe.

After months of research and a gentle nudge from the King of DACS I found a really good deal on a new pair of G2S2 dealer floor samples. I couldn’t be happier. They are really Vivid sounding.
Now I am done looking for speakers.
The BACCH is next and other than a few bits of smaller stuff I should be done with gear for some time.
I should also say thanks to TMR for selling enough of my used gear to be money ahead after this purchase (speakers and BACCH)

That MPD-8 would have been my choice if I hadn’t already gone the MSB route. And you have enough room for the MPT-8 mate.

Yes they are Vivid G2S2’s and I have down sized form my previous 3 complete systems plus spares to what you see here. I am still waiting for my BACCH-SP ADIO to arrive next week and fill in the empty space in the rack. I also have a Playback Designs USB-X4 converter for the MPD-8 DAC en route.
Congrats on your MSB stack though! I know it is very high quality build and sound. I think that MSB makes the housings for the MPD-8 but don’t remember for sure.
I looked at MSB a couple of years ago but my local dealer treated me like a street urchin so I left them by the wayside and never looked back.
Same with the local dCS dealer although I did buy a Rossini APEX + Clock from a forum member and tried it head to head with the MPD-8 but after a month or more of careful A-B listening the MPD-8 won out in my system.
