That exact car is what made me realize that I prefer a car with more chassis than engine.
This is the car that made me love four wheels as much as two.
(Not my car, much prettier than mine was).
I was stationed in Italy for 3 years and really wanted to bring back a Piaggio APE. Never found one for sale. Italians keep these things for themselves. I did come home with a 1962 Fiat 600D with suicide doors.
Love the red seat color
After having the REL sub for 6 days, I can confidently say that the person making my audio purchases deserves a raise.
The forum members that encouraged me to move away from the infinity sub also deserve a raise.
How about the guy who told you six-pack is the must have?
Wait, you already have 22-pick so you are good for the next century.
Can we smash that crossover yet?
Wait to see the kind of bonus the people encouraging you to buy two subs deserve!
Btw. I got email announcing another 10% increase from Rel in September. FYI.
has anyone got an update on when the new model hits the market, i head heard this year but its all very quiet ..
The rumor is there would be news in September
You guys are the best!
So now my friend wanted to get a new preamp to repace his aging Conrad Johnson Gat because he wanted to try balance inputs. I suggested a PS Audio PMG Preamp from all the rave in this forum on it. 30 days free trial I told him. Well, he went and bought one! Long story short, he was so impressed with the performance of the PMG Pre that he has already put his Conrad Johnson up for sale. The PMG is much quieter and even fuller sounding than the much more expensive tubed CJ, amazing, even with patch cord level XLR’s. Yes, he’s working on some higher quality XLR’s. I can hardly wait untill I can hear his system with the PMG when it is broken in and with some decent XLR cables.
Here’s a picture of his new PMG Pre.
Thanks for sharing this. The PMG Signature pre is systematically replacing preamps around the world and setting a new standard for noise and effortless music. Once you get a taste of what it can do…it’s hard to go back to what was once SOTA.
And it is pretty.
Thanks, Elk. That front machined swoosh still gets me with its beauty. Created by Miles at Studio 63 in Canada. Brilliant designer.
It works. Elegant. Non fussy.
I will consider getting one with new DAC. I wish soft ware on PMG SACD is updated, so CD tray does not freeze . I still has same issue on 2nd one. it has to be powered down/up to play properly. Remote function to open and close tray is needed.
My Conrad Johnson Art 88 preamp is great but has noise as was mentioned.
Yes Paul, now I understand why you would want to put your name on these units. I wouldn’t mind having credit for these beautifully designed and sounding units either.
My friend is a super critical listener. Digital isn’t his thing. He is using a CD just to break in the unit. He is a vinyl freak. He still haven’t found a phonostage to replace his aging Basis phonostage yet. Maybe he can try the PGM phono when it is available. His budget is $15k. As for the preamp, he has searched hard. He even brought his old CJ to a dealer to compare with the new Constellation pre around $15k and was very disappointed with the Constellation. His old CJ was much better. Boring was the word he used for the Constellation. With his new PMG, exciting is the word he used! Thank you Paul for bringing such happiness to an old friend!
