Wait! you are asking Baldy, not me.
Oh well, here is my cheap solution. Omega dumbells need support since both cables are min. 1.5M long. Note I have sorbothane sheet to cushon the cable from metal hanger. I can not say I heard any difference.

There is such an embarrassing mess at the back of my rack that I gave up, as an Italian I accepted the spaghetti set and moved on!
Probably a cup hook of some sort and a simple cable tie as a hanger. Thatâs how I did the task on my El Cheapo rack except I drilled holes vertically thru the MDF rack shelf and threaded the cable ties thru the holes. It wasnât elegant but did the job.
Someone once told me not to leave cables on the floor and to attach them to the ceiling or wall with fishing line.
Will do. They quoted 6 to 8 weeks so I am expecting them to arrive in November. I am also going to either put the racks on wheels, angle them 45 degrees to the wall or leave them far enough into the room to have access without knocking stuff over or onto the floor. I am developing some eyesight issues so low light situations are a no go for me anymore.
Looks good to me!
Youâre not the one to not start experimenting with this idea. How did it work out?
I must say: havenât seen that one yet.
Makes me think of building a separate cable rack behind the main rack. Something like is done in industrial electrical installation cable routes.
Mostly for that 1+ m width behind a rack, thatâ seems a bit over the top.
Although, given the effort and funds we invest in cablingâŠ
How about this more domestically friendly alternative:
Now that weâve given up on old fashioned fighting habits and renounced our swordsâŠ
I previously had a shelf on the wall. I left the brackets behind the rack and then attached my cable.
Gotcha; thanks.
I have a similar rig suspending some of my ratâs nest behind a cabinet. Used some long-stemmed eye-hooks and cable ties to hang and direct some of the wiresâŠ
Lovely looking amplifiersâŠ
I donât recognize them. Care to share the make and modelâŠ?

They are AVM AMP MK2. The large series from AVM appeared first under the name AMP, later under AVM Ovation. The mono amplifiers are identical to the AVM Ovation MA 8. The preamp is a Cambrige Edge nq.
What are their specs? They look very capable.
Congratulations on the system you have assembled.
Thank you and Iâm also very happy with it. Except for the urge to always optimize something. The small pyramids are made of shungite. Doesnât help much, it was available cheaply in a package of 10 on Amazon. The sheet in a 3M for testing. Yes, the amplifiers have sufficient power. Weight 45KG. The speakers go down to 3 ohm impedance and my Einstein integrated amplifier and small AVM monos couldnât get the bass under control very well. With the large mono amplifiers the bass is rock solid like in a vice. With the others I had a resonance of the membrane and a spongy, bloated, imprecise low tone. The amplifiers are fully symmetrical and each have an amplifier side for + and -. As a precaution, I limited the power of the amplifiers via the preamplifier. I think you could accidentally overload the speakers.
The Ovation MA8.3 looks to be off the hook!:
End-game amp potential, I think:
â OVATION flagship mono amplifiers with Class A A/B high current MOS FET technology and more than 1.100W on all loads
â 2 toroidal main transformers (2 x 1000 VA)
â Fully balanced input stage with OVATION 803 T tube technology (2 specially designed AVM double triodes)
[I am a big fan of amplifier designs including big toroidal transformers.]
I think you are correct.
Yes, it will be good, the price has increased with every upgrade. Iâve seen these used for half the price. I also bought mine as a trade-in from my dealer 4 years ago. I had previously tried out the new Michi series. But I preferred the AVM. They sounded more musical. They have already lost their value and are more stable in price than Rotel Michi. I thought who would want to buy something like that used and what would you get? Itâs almost like buying a car. Unfortunately, so have the prices now.
But in contrast to some of its competitors, AVM still seems reasonably reasonable with the price given the performance it offers. GĂŒnter Mania can build good amplifiers. He also helped develop the Westend Monaco tube amplifier. The Monaco impressed me. Appearance, feel 1A. And it has over 100 watts of power with a spatial representation and timbres that you rarely experience in a combination.
The only way to fly, for me.
