Acoustic Electronica

So here’s a strange question. I am not really a big fan of electronica or even music that is heavily electronic. However, I DO like it when music stretches my ears in terms of audio creativity, and of course from an audiophile angle. For instance, I was listening to some Brian Eno and love how his music really gets INSIDE my head from an audio perspective, how it plays with my brain, doing things with my sound system that traditional acoustic music wouldn’t even think of doing. Does anyone have any suggestions on fully-acoustic music that stretches my hearing in a similar way. In other words, what if Brian Eno did his music but using only acoustic instruments? I did find a few things in the Electroacoustic genre and some “Ambient” things, but I’m not often a fan of “atmospheric” or “minimalist” stuff either. I want it to talk to me musically, not environmentally, if that makes any sense. I’d be interested in any suggestions. Thanks!

Three studies. The first is absolutely Acoustic. 2nd and third broaden the scope.

The third was the original.
