Age of Elegance Short Baroque and Classical works by Eugene Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra From the 1950s/60s

I don’t have but a few Ormandy recordings. I find their sonics wanting and affects the enjoyment of the music.

However, on this CD the Philadelphia Strings shine and play with great beauty, power and style. The lush Philadelphia sound is on display. The free bowing is rather obvious and produces a very appealing sound.

The sonics are just below audiophile level.

This CD is made in Japan and explains its excellent sound quality
