I currently have the M700’s, quite happy with them but I don’t think they’re endgame for me. I have an opportunity to acquire a weel taken care of Pass XA-25. I’ve read a lot of great feedback from those of you have moved on to the Pass Labs gear.
Curious what those of you who’ve owned both would compare them.
The speakers one has (as well as cables) will be important IME. Not having had the M700 I can’t provide meaningful sonic comparison. I have the XA-25 driven by an XP-22, speakers are high efficiency (97dB) Pure Audio Project. The sound is sublime. If you can swing it get the XA-25 and give it a go. Should it not be to your liking you can always resell it. They tend to sell rather quick on the used market.
