Paper towel and TP centers!
Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you’re looking are it, as a bachelor, WAF is not an issue at this time. I did have a run-in with that issue many moons ago though. After returning home from work one day, my girlfriend at the time, who had just moved in, rearranged all the furniture in the living room where my stereo was setup. No longer was there a seating position centered in between the speakers! It took me all of 15 minutes to put things back as they were, but much longer to explain to my girlfriend why having a seating position centered in between the speakers is of Paramount importance. I’m not sure, but that was probably the beginning of the end of that relationship.
Challenging ideas is part of any audio discussion.
Just ignore the posts in the forum which are not of interest. It takes mere seconds to scan a post to determine if you want to read it.
Her moving in was probably it. Married 30 years here, but I have a keen appreciation of the advantages of both statuses 
having 2 living rooms saved us…
I respect everyone’s point of view and read everything I click into.
I’ll raise a distinction between challenging ideas and challenging people.
I see a lot of posts challenging certain people, to a degree that looks like virtual bullying. I shouldn’t have to skip through posts where people are at each others’ necks.
I appreciate this forum – you, Paul, PS Audio, and all of the community – and feel it’s most enjoyable when it’s healthy and instructive; where criticisms are constructive, not destructive.
A valid distinction. The goal is to be constructive.
Our overall success in this regard waxes and wanes as in any community.

Interesting point; I hadn’t thought of the oily residue… Will have to stick the putty to glass to see what stays on it.
back in the 80s we used to use isopropyl alcohol on a soft sable paint brush, or, at a pinch, finest vodka.
i expect this is a bad idea, especially for cantilevers with damping gunge on them?

Got 'em all over the floor and suspended between hanging wires behind the system.
Pro tip: I prefer paper towel rolls cut to custom lengths (they are stiffer and have a smaller diameter).
And in a pinch, they can be pressed into service as a pipe.
After years of using a DIY method of setting my speaker spike disks on top of Home Depot floor gliders, I ordered some of the Herbie’s Spike Decoupling Gliders.
Only several hours of listening, but I’ve noticed a bit more fullness in my mid bass region and slightly less bloat in the deeper regions.
Now I’m wondering if the GAIAs will help even more…
Don’t forget the extra lightness in your wallet!

GAIAs are great. Except when they cost the same as one’s speakers.
