FWIW, my first thought is not “inexpensive” with regard to dedicated circuits and runs of power lines to a dedicated music room. However, I am no electrician.
Perhaps I should have clarified and said from the system to the electrical panel on its own dedicated line.
Guess it depends on ones abilities and spare cable. Two dedicated 10awg cost me nothing but a six pack of beer that I shared with my electrician buddy and a few hours work.
What zip code is your buddy in?
They are in most zip codes, just have to find 'em. I’ve known this guy for 20+ years from riding dirt bikes a decade ago. Gave me the bro discount.
I recently put these under my audio system to raise it up as the base plate throws out quite a bit of heat. They don’t do a lot damping- wise.
1 - Repeatable and sure fire tweak? Pilsner Urquell, unlimited supply.
2 - Add to number 1 above - She is out with her friends

Ermegerd…
That’s funny, Bruce.
When the lady is out on the town- the man cave is stress free and I swear the soundstage is wider
Nope, isolation only, essentially no damping but sometimes isolation is more valuable than damping.
Agreed. I use them to allow air circulation. The Townshend podium is the only product I’ve found that provides complete isolation. I occasionally jump up and down next to my turntable just to prove the point and justify the expense. Did it the other day.
Unfortunately, the Townshend products though very nice and very effective are the antithesis of inexpensive especially on the US-side of the pond
Get big discounts on them here.
It doesn’t appear there are any links unless you mean from you
I have a bad habit of making a coffee, which requires a ceramic cup, sitting down to listen to music and forgetting the coffee. Found the answer in the gift shop.
Also solves the problem that my wife does not like me drinking coffee on the new sofa.
There are UK dealers who do excellent deals and they would probably be happy to ship. Plus they work just as well on 110v as 230v.
Townshend podiums are still quite expensive even with a discount, but they tend to get used with much more expensive equipment. My podium added about 15% to the cost of my turntable system. You often see them under expensive speakers such as the large Focals.
A $10 partially inflated inner tube between a butcher board and table. Multidirectional damping and isolation for the TT.
Now that is cool. New applications for old devices are always interesting and this one is at the top of the stereo cheap tweak list. That should work with any component that would benefit from isolation and damping.
Put a little MTB sealant in it first and you won’t have to pump them up but every couple of years!
I think they are good for mainly just the vertical direction. They’re quite stiff laterally. There’s another benefit, I’ve used them to raise and lower heavy devices to try other feet. Just pump it up and let it out.
Here’s my latest tweak for less than a meal. Very mild ear damping.
