I am interested if the existing rubber feet which come on the BHK 300 monoblock amps are removable? If yes, is there a threaded hole and what is the size thread to attach other isolation feet such as Stillpoints?
Thank you

The threads for attaching the isolation feet to the DS, DMP, and BHK preamp are 6-32" x 7/16″. I assume the monoblock is the same.
Interesting. I do not yet have my 300s and I too am thinking about isolation feet. I have carpet-and-pad-over-concrete, but the concrete is not very solid and vibrates, as all of them do. I’ve been using inexpensive industrial vibation isolators I read on about on Audio Asylum.

They’re quite inexpensive but seem to work.
This time, tho, I believe I’ll use something a little higher tech, probably Solid-Tech’s IsoClear spring-based isolation pads. Haven’t yet found a price lower than Audio Advisor’s…

…but I’ll keep looking.
The BHK 250 and 300 amps have much larger feet than the source components that Elk mentions above. The screw sizes might be the same, though.
Also, I’m curious about whether those IsoClear devices are designed to work on carpet. I would have thought they were intended for hardwood floors or rack shelves, but I could be totally wrong about that. I had not seen them before; they look clever and are not expensive as audiophile toys go.
Here you go Jeffrey a lot cheaper.

Thx, but not really. Four times $37.50 = $150. :-(
magister said...Yup; that's why I'm considering them. I'm willing to spend thousan$d$ for components and hundred$ for cable, but I've never bought an expensive isolation device.…they look clever and are not expensive as audiophile toys go.
I couple (‘spike’) speakers…
…but I ‘always’ decouple/isolate electronics, with, at least, Herbies’ Tenderfeet.
dawkinsj saidAh, yes, thank you, and NOT Solid-Tech brand. I bought 4 sets; we'll see.Jeffrey
That’s $37.50 for a set of four.

I think Chris is buying a lot of this stuff on his site under his house Connex brand from some of the same vendors we can buy from on Ebay. Would like to think he tests them before offering them for re-sale. It appears to be a common practice and has been for some time.
dawkinsj saidOK; thx. I hadn't seen either of these. Parts Connex... will be mailing my 4 sets this week.Jeffrey

As stated above, I’ve been decoupling electronics from floor or shelf for a long time, with amps on my padded-and-carpeted floor atop two-high Wagner pads. Since I expect my prospective pair of of BHK 300s will be the last amps I’ll ever buy (I’m almost 74), and I’ve wanted to have amppads built of laminated-bamboo plywood…

…I’m about to order a sheet of this stuff. I’ll ask one of my buddies to cut eight layers, screw them together two thick, and finish-cut them all 18X16" for my four PSA and Butler amps. Each will sit atop four of the Connex isofeet. Probably I’ll post pics in another thread. See

…for a previous amppad project. That one I’m no longer using and it is surplus. It’s so heavy I’ll try to sell it locally.
