Bad power means poor sound quality but does it also mean shorter life for the component? Will clean power help keep the component healthy over a longer period of time?
Probably not. If the power supply were that sensitive, it probably wouldn’t be worth a darn and wouldn’t last long. 10% distortion in the wave form doesn’t mean much to a power supply.
Overvoltage poses more of a problem than THD.
