What would you recommend for cabinet or shelving systems to store CDs?
Aesthetically pleasing. Simple clean lines.
I looked at these. They are too deep for my space. Looking at something shallower 6”~8” depth.
Wonder if they sell the upper unit separately.
They do. I just sent you the link to what I have.
They look very well built. I like the modular aspect.
You did a very nice job with those. I cut my self short and picked up some from BestBuy. Rather flimsy to say the least. They get the job done, but if I had to do it all over I’d either go custom or maybe CanAm.
Thanks. I did all the case work in the basement including the equipment racks. Before I listened to mom and got a couple degrees I completed the program to become a journeyman carpenter. I’m really glad I no longer do it for a living but I’m real happy to have that knowledge went I need it for myself.
An inexpensive solution is IKEA Billy bookcases. Looks reasonably ok (nothing fancy), but works well.
+1 for IKEA. I have their towers that house 180 CDs each. Awesome.
Fan of Billy here - good for modifying as well - I have home network cabinet in one, with cut-outs for fans in the sides and cables in the back - works a treat and quiets any noisy gear quite well too
It appears that those towers are no longer for sale. Can’t find them on the Ikea US site.
Yep, discontinued ages ago. Maybe Ikea will come to their senses
damn i was planning on buying another one
Not the Billy, but the Gnegby.
Yes. That’s the tall thin one for cds.
