A recent event, house burn down locally and it made me asking, wow the NAS burn down, what are my reset solution? none except my USB in the car!
Just asking, are you using a cloud solution to store your music and is working great to listen your music?
when I look at mconnect to play in DLNA, it is suggesting Dropbox? costly solution, with memory shortage? some 2T are now over 1000$! cloud solution better? cheaper?

I am not using cloud because of the cost and because my DSL line is too slow to rely on for music serving (or even for frequent backing up of my files). If you are concerned about your NAS being lost in a disaster, you could just buy a Seagate portable drive for $150, make a copy of your music library, and store it offsite (office, friend’s house, etc) for safekeeping. Possibly buy two drives so you have one at home that’s available for easy swapping with the offsite one after the next update. Maybe not an elegant solution but simple and relatively inexpensive.
I have a Synology NAS, and use HyperBackup to backup to the cloud (costs about 12 dollars per month) and to a large USB drive.

I have never needed to restore files from the cloud…it would probably be godawful slow, but off-site backup is the last resort.
