Connecting subwoofer and active loudspeakers to preamp

I have a pair of active loudspeakers connected via XLR to my Stellar Gain Cell DAC as preamp. Now I want to add a subwoofer to my stereo system. Is it possible to use the cinch connections from the preamp to connect the sub in parallel to the XLRs or does this have any negative effects on the sound or the preamp hardware?

regards, Harry

Just my thinking here, and I’m not sure what you mean by cinch connections, but the Stellar Gain Cell DAC has single-ended RCA connector type outputs in addition to the balanced XLR outputs. I would think the RCAs to be your best choice for the connecting of subwoofers, unless your active speakers have some sort of output for that purpose. I rather doubt connecting to the RCAs will have any negative effects on the rest of the system.

to clarify: I´m connecting the loudspeakers via XLRs and the subwoofer via RCAs, both coming direct from the preamp. I want to make sure, that using both outputs in parallel has no negative effects on the sound quality or the preamp hardware.
