Hi all. Newbie (and old- bad combo…). Wondering if anybody here can help. Current front end is Small Green Computer SonicTransporter Roon Server to Sonore Ultra Rendu player to Matrix Audio XSPIDIF3 (as recommended by Paul in Audiophiles guide) to Berkeley Audio BADA to Musical Fidelity kW 750 Amplifier driving Maggie 3.6.
My question is whether anybody here has experience with the SGC Sonicorbiter and Sonore UltraRendu. I am considering an air lens to replace Rendu and Stellar gold or directstream mk2 DACs to replace BADA. I have always loved the sound of the BADA, but I am beginning to think it is held back by only having AES and SPDIF inputs as I am mostly streaming now. Bada sounds better with transport.
Finally, anybody else completely confused by the marketing description of the airlens? I had to call PS Audio to be told its a streamer. The description sounds like its a fancy XSPIDIF3- just to clean up signal and convert to I2s.
