I am currently in a long quest to replace my power cables. At present, I have replaced them on the P20,
MK2, and the BHK pre with AQ Dragons. Each time, a not-so-subtle veil has been lifted. You can listen deeper into the music with a quieter background. Better definition with less noise should be the hallmark of a cable off this class ($$$) but what the latest swap-out did on the BHK was to improve spacial relationships as well. Each voice and instrument is laid out in a more clearly defined area. I wasn’t expecting that.
When I muster the cash to put the Dragon on the PST, and another to be named streaming source, I hope the good times continue. Good things are coming in smaller packages, and they are easier to hide from less appreciating eyes.
As we move up in the range of cable design and materials used
in the wire conductors and insulators the more we should expect
to hear the those not so small improvements in playback quality.
Just a what point these improvements diminish…is hard to say…
but with your gear …if you went to the very uppermost tier of
power cables you would be able to appreciate the best of cables
have to offer…

The goal is to get a cable that does the least amount of damage to the sound. The Dragon does little damage I am guessing. And at a not out of this world price. Good pick!

I am all ready to get another Dragon Souce too, but then everyone says how great the USB input on MK2 is. Darn, I moved the fund for a Omega USB that weights 1/20 of Dragon. I am not sure I made a right decision, especially all I can think now is I need a Dragon!

Rumor is there’s a shipment delay on some crucial components just like AirLens. That means we will not see it anytime soon.
I did not know there is a Dragon USB on the horizon, if that is what you are referring to. I guess there is more than a technology transfer involved, or the wait from the intro of the Dragon HDMI would not be so long.
I was kidding, there is no Dragon USB on the horizon. Although Luca is anxiously wishing for one. I don’t have the desire anymore after trying out a few USB cables now.

If someone interested AQ (in EU) is also able to reterminate the Dragons. I had a 2 mt long that I sent them last month and today they shipped back 2 Sources in 2 boxes 1 mt long each. I need them for my new room.

I wish Garth Powell would do a Dragon USB. I have been comparing Dragon HDMI to an AQ Cinnamon i pulled from our ranch house. No comparison in sound or picture. This is for Mac Mini running Bacch. Less noise and blacker picture feeding my McIntosh HT processor.
AQ Dragon HDMI is hard to beat, and there aren’t that many HDMI cables at the price range (or higher). It could be the public perception is Its a cable for HT/TV. There is no way they would pay for a cable that costs more than a TV.
